Setting up the zeroheight Assistant for Figma

The zeroheight Assistant for Figma is available for any styleguide that is protected by SSO.

zeroheight admins who want consumers of the design system to use the assistant will need to enable Remote MCP access for the relevant styleguide and then share MCP details with the consumers.

Enabling MCP for the relevant styleguide

Styleguides created before 4th March 2026 have remote MCP disabled by default. Styleguides created after that date have it enabled by default.

  1. Head to styleguide settings
  2. In the sidebar on the left select MCP and Markdown
  3. Under Remote MCP access, toggle Enable remote MCP access on

Share access with your team

Add a Remote MCP details block to your documentation.

  1. Open the slash inserter on any page and select Remote MCP details
  2. The block renders each viewer's unique MCP URL automatically — they'll see their own URL, not yours
  3. Configure which client tabs are visible using the block's settings panel — you'll only need to enable the Raw URL in order for consumers to be able to setup the assistant

Note: Each viewer's URL is unique to them, so use the block — don't share your own URL.

Then share a link to the page where you added the block with your consumers. Create a release first if the Latest release of your styleguide isn't accessible to consumers.

Setup the plugin

  1. Run the plugin [details TBD]
  2. Paste your Remote MCP server URL into the field
  3. Click Connect

Use the zeroheight Assistant for Figma

Navigate to the Chat tab and ask a question about your design system like "what are the guidelines for the checkbox component?"

The assistant's response will match any tone of voice instructions configured for the styleguide.
