Enable remote MCP access in a styleguide

Overview

Set up the remote MCP server to allow viewers to connect AI assistants to your zeroheight styleguides using the Model Context Protocol.

Enabling Remote MCP access in a styleguide

  1. Head to your styleguide settings
  2. In the sidebar on the left select AI settings
  3. Under Remote MCP access toggle Enable remote MCP access on

Add the Remote MCP details block

The url can be added to your documentation like any other block by opening the slash inserter and selecting Remote MCP details

Once the block has been added to the styleguide it will generate a unique url for each visitor for the current styleguide

If you want to provide your own text to instruct users on how to connect to the MCP you can turn off Display help message in the block settings

Yes, when the Enable remote MCP access is turned off users will no longer be able to use the url that was provided to connect to the MCP server
