Teams who have enabled AI features in zeroheight and have access to the Releases feature can use AI to automatically generate release notes.

AI-generated release notes (like any release notes) can be added to the styleguide itself via the Release notes block or included in the Slack/Microsoft Teams notification.

If you want to control the tone of voice of the content generated by this feature you can do so via tone of voice instructions.

Use AI to generate release notes

Once you've created a new release you'll see the option to give the release a name and (optionally) add some release notes.

Click the Generate with AI button and zeroheight will compare the newly created release with the release that was created previously and:

  • Summarise the main changes overall
  • Summarise the individual pages that have been added, changed and removed. With a bullet point for each page, including links to added/changed pages.

The notes can then be reviewed/edited.

Note If the release already includes release notes, AI Generated notes will be appended to the end of the existing notes.

When you click Save:

  • The notes will be saved agains the the release and visible to all editors in the releases modal
  • If you're using the Release notes block the notes for this release will be added to it
  • If you're using the Slack/Microsoft Teams notifications - the notes will be included in the notification

You can also use AI to generate release notes for any previously created release by finding the release, opening the kebab menu and selecting Edit

You'll then see the option to to edit the name and release notes. Click the Generate with AI button and zeroheight will compare this release with the release that was created previously and generate release notes for the changes it finds.
