If you want zeroheight to send automatic notifications to Slack when you create or edit a release, you will need add the zeroheight app to your Slack workspace and choose the channel where the notifications should be sent. If the Slack workspace contains many channels you will need to provide the ID of the channel. This article explains how to retrieve this ID.
Please note that the Slack integration does not work with Slack Enterprise Grid accounts and cannot be used.
Retrieving the Slack channel ID
- Open the channel in Slack where you would like the zeroheight Slack app to send notifications and click on the name of the channel to get channel details:
- Scroll to the bottom of the modal and click the copy icon next to the channel ID
- Paste the ID into the Channel ID field in the integrations section of the styleguide settings for the relevant styleguide
