Accessing zeroheight Analytics
You can access Analytics in the top-level navigation, listed between Styleguides and Resources
The zeroheight Analytics page includes 3 tabs: analytics dashboard, page insights and search feedback. Each tab shows data for a specific styleguide, you can change the styleguide via the drop down on the top right. You can only see analytics for the styleguide(s) you have editor access to.
👉 Note: If you currently don't have a name for your styleguide, we recommend naming your styleguide and turning off Display text in the Cover style menu so that a name appears on the Analytics page.
Dashboard
The first tab, dashboard, includes:
- total styleguide views and average helpfulness ratings and an indication how these metrics are trending
- styleguide views over time graph with releases markers
- number of pages by status tag
- the 6 most recently pages that have been last edited with information about when they were edited and who by
You can filter views and ratings data for either last 7 days, last 30 days, last year, all time or a custom date range.
Page insights
The second tab, Page insights, includes a table that shows a row per page in the selected styleguide along with the following columns:
- Page name
- You can configure whether you want to display the breadcrumb for each page as well as indicator of whether or not each page is visible
- Tags
- The page status tag assigned to the page
- Views
- The number of views recorded during the configured date range
- Rating (%)
- The number of positive (👍) votes divided by the total number of votes. Learn more
- Vote count
- The total number of votes
- Last edited by
- The editor who made the most recent changes to the page
- Last edited
- The last time the page was edited
Filtering
You can filter the views and ratings data for either last 7 days, last 30 days, last year, all time or a custom date range.
You can also filter to only show specific rows in the table according to:
- Whether or not pages are visible
- The page statuses
- Last edited by
- Last edited
- You can choose to only show pages edited in the last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 60 days
You can also search the table to only display pages matching your search term.
Showing/hiding columns, sorting and downloading to CSV
All columns (except Page) can be hidden. This setting can be found via the kebab menu for a the column you want to hide.
In addition, you can sort the table by any column,
To unhide a column or export the data to CSV , open the main kebab menu next to the date filter.
Individual page insights
By clicking on a specific page in a table, you will find a more detailed information about that page including:
- total views and helpfulness rating for the page and an indication how these metrics are trending
- page views over time graph with releases markers
- a table with latest feedback for the page
You can filter views and ratings data for either last 7 days, last 30 days, last year, all time or a custom date range.
Search feedback
This tab shows a table with 4 columns summarising results from this feature
- Missing search term
- The term the user searched for but didn't match a result
- Note
- The note the user added to explain what they were looking for
- Date submitted
- Resolve
- Once you've addressed the search feedback you can remove from the default view of the table by removing it
You can filter search feedback for either last 7 days, last 30 days, last year, all time or a custom date range.
You can also filter search feedback according to whether or not the feedback has been resolved (i.e. is closed).
FAQs
What is counted as a view?
A view is a counted each time a user who is not logged into the zeroheight organization that the styleguide belongs to loads a page in their browser. If they load the same page multiple times, a view will be counted for each.
Who can access Analytics?
Users with either the Organization Admin or Editor role can access the Analytics page but Editors will only be able to view the analytics for styleguides that they have edit access to.
