User Permission Notes

1 Workspace Admins should be thought of as Editors at the organization level who have been granted additional permissions for a specific workspace.
2 Workspace Admins and Workspace Managers are only able to make permission changes to existing users that apply to specific workspaces. i.e. giving Editors the Workspace Admin permissions
3 Editors on the Starter plan are able to invite new users
4 Configuring SSO is restricted to Organization Admins and Organization Managers
5 Counts towards Editor seats
6 Counts towards Reviewer seats
7 Most user permissions apply across all workspaces, the only exception is Workspace Admins and Editors. It’s possible for a user to be an Editor in one Workspace and a Workspace Admin in another.
8 Workspace Admins and Workspace Managers are able to remove users from workspaces but they can only be removed from the organization by Organization Admins or Organization Managers
9 The only change to existing users’ permissions available within a workspace is to change an Editor to a Workspace Admin (and vice versa). Organization Admins and Organization Managers are able to make any role change on the Organization members page.

FAQs

What’s an owner?

In the result of a downgrade to the Free plan, the user with the Owner tag is the sole user with access to the organization. On the Professional and Enterprise plans only Organization Admins can be the owner, on the Starter plan any Editor can be the Owner

Can we change the organization owner?

Yes, please email support@zeroheight.com

What’s a viewer?

Viewers are users who visit your styleguide, they do not need a zeroheight account.

What if I’m unable to change a user’s permissions?

If you’re experiencing an issue changing a user’s permissions, please email support@zeroheight.com and a member of our team will be happy to help you with this.

Does zeroheight support admin permissions?

We have the Organization Admin permissions for Professional and Enterprise plans. Organizations can allocate an editor seat to a organization member to be an Organization admin. Alternatively, the Organization Manager permission (available on the Enterprise plan) can be allocated to a user who only requires administration permissions.

Is there a limit to the number users that can have each set of permissions?

There are no limits to the number of users with the Organization Manager or Workspace Manager permissions.

Limits to the number of users with the Editor, Organization Admin or Workspace Admin permissions are determined by the number of Editor seats on your plan.

Limits ot the number of users with the Reviewer permissions are determined by the number of Reviewer seats on your plan.
